Intro
The Mirkeet Scooter is an electric scooter designed for use in dense urban areas where congestion and pollution are problems. Due to the increasing population worldwide, urban transportation is getting harder and encouraging people to consider choices. Scooters provide cheaper, faster transportation than cars, but accessibility still difficult. Designed with mobility and portability in mind, the scooter is both safe and light.
Problems experienced in urban short distance transportation:
• Unnecessary use of personal vehicles of transport even for short distances.
• Non-eco-friendly fuel using in 91 percent of public vehicles.
• The cost of alternative transportation solutions.
• The danger of public vehicles in terms of health during the pandemic period.
• Lack of safety measures for current electric scooter services.
• None integrated sharing system.
UX and UI
To achive the necessary design with limited amount time on this large project, it was important to lay the foundations with a strong, flexible design system that could evolve during the product’s development cycle. So it shapes both the visuals and user experience across the whole product itself as well as the website.
Scooter-sharing System
As proposed solutions for increasing micro-mobility solutions, I built scalable architecture, a dockless sharing system. It provides users to locate and drop off at any available point. Our proposed architecture consists of three parts:
• User Mobile Application - Flutter SDK
• Web Admin Dashboard - React
• Backend services - FastAPI & PostgreSQL
API & Web Dashboard
Key points:
• Fleet tracking: This allows to locate scooters in the database and show them on the map, updating their information in real-time.
• Geo Fences: Lets admins create digital fences to monitor the scooter's location in case of users riding outside of pre-defined safe zones.
Neumorphic Design Inspiration
Cross-platform geographic map integrated Flutter application was designed with new trends of Neumorphic design. Neumorphism is a new take on skeuomorphic design. I was greatly influenced (copied) Mirkeet's Mobile App design from Gavrisov Dmitri's Dribble Shot.
